Through this program, selected partners can earn commission by promoting books such as Super Cheap Japan, Tokyo Outdoors and Super Cheap Hokkaido.

If your application is accepted, you will be provided an affiliate link that you can share with your audience.

Anyone with a Japan-related website, podcast, or social media account can apply to become an affiliate

Your customers can benefit from your affiliation by receiving a 10% discount on their purchases made through your referral links.

My goal with the affiliate program is to make it profitable and worthwhile not just for me, but for my affiliates too.

Ebooks sell for up to $8, and ebook bundles for up to $15, meaning that a 50/50 split makes it worth your effort in getting set up and sharing your affiliate links.

For paperbacks, about 40% of the cost goes to printing, so a 30% commission also makes it a favorable, and equal, share of the profits. Paperbacks sell for up to $14, and bundles for over $30, so you can make decent earnings with only one sale!

The minimum payment amount is US$25. If your earnings have not yet reached that limit, they will simply be moved forward to the following month.

In order to maintain a fair and safe environment for our customers and affiliates alike, here are a few do’s and don’ts.

Do:

• Create high-quality posts related to Japan and traveling in Japan.
• Use your site or social media channels to feature books such as Super Cheap Japan, Tokyo Outdoors and Super Cheap Hokkaido.
• Use banners on the sidebar widgets and elsewhere on your site.
• Remember to always include your personal affiliate ID on the links.

Don’t:

• Confuse customers or visitors through the design of your site by copying our site design.
• Purchase a domain name that uses any Matthew Baxter trademarks or variations and misspellings.
• Bid on any search engine keywords or pay-per-click advertising that uses
  any of my brand terms or variations and misspellings.
• Send unsolicited email or other messaging that in any way may constitute spam.
• Engage in any conduct that does not meet our standards of ‘fair play’ including things like fraud, confusing the new user, or providing a link designed to mislead the customer. This includes all coupon and deals sites.

We reserve the right to close the account(s) of any affiliate if the affiliate or referred customer attempts to use the affiliate program in a questionable manner.

The referred customer and the referrer cannot be the same person. The referred customer must have a different email address, along with different billing and shipping information from the referrer.

We want to create a safe and transparent experience for our customers, so let’s play fair!

Yes, you can also earn affiliate commissions via Amazon Affiliates. Please note that the commissions are considerably lower though, at around 4-5%.
